Flashback Friday

In honor of back-to-school season, I thought a parade of my college ID cards would be entertaining. They can be summed up as such…

1993 – bright-eyed*

1995- broke**

1998 – blonde***

*I was only 17 when I started college. “Jail bait” was my nickname at the frat houses.

**After taking a semester off, having a roommate die and taking on the cost of college myself, I did some learning outside of the classroom.

***This is the ONLY picture that remains from my time as a blonde. It didn’t last long.

    You might want to blur your ID number on your student ID's. Often Colleges use that number in combination with other easily found information to verify your identity. Once your identity is “verified” with this information, someone could get access to all of your college records/information. I know this sounds crazy, but I work in the IT department of a college and having a student ID number and someone's name is enough to get you a lot of other information about that person (if someone is pretending to be you).

    Kona, thanks for the heads-up. I took the SS# off the first two IDs without even thinking about that third one. Appreciate the help.
