Sick week

I’m blaming the Munchkin Masquerade. Sure, it was cute but you can’t bring that many kids together without a massive germ attack. I should have known better. Or as my friend Denise so wisely put it…

It started with Eli being sick. Then he so kindly passed it on to us. So for an overlap of about four days, the entire family was sick together. There was a lot of Yo Gabba Gabba, a lot of family snuggling in bed and a lot of nose wiping. Although last week felt like a blur of tissue and snot, health has returned.

Operation Immunity Boost begins in earnest today. We’re eating raw garlic, snorting Emergen-C and Neti-potting the hell out of our sinuses. Because we get on a plane to NYC on Saturday. And I never get sick after my Thanksgiving airplane rides. (Except for the past four years.)

In related news, holy crap! Thanksgiving is next week!

Although I didn’t get much done while sick, I did manage to put the finishing touches on Eli’s long overdue 18-month video. The music is an obvious nod to our upcoming trip. Enjoy the only little boy in New York.

And in case you don’t think I care about you anymore, keep your eyes open for some baby ginger action in the below video. You heard me: BABY GINGER.

Be well.
